Divorce or relationship breakdown
Divorce or relationship breakdown
Divorce or ending a relationship is a decision you do not take lightly and often involves a lot of emotions. We assist you in finding the best possible way to settle your divorce. Together with you, we will look for lasting solutions.
Divorce must always be decided by the court, even if you have already made the necessary arrangements with your (former) partner. Based on our extensive experience, we ensure a smooth process throughout the entire procedure, even when circumstances make it difficult.

Our added value
We assist you in all aspects of a divorce or termination of a relationship. After all, the consequences of divorce extend far beyond the divorce itself or the termination of cohabitation. Whether you need to make arrangements for alimony (both personal and for the children), parenthood or co-parenthood after divorce and/or the division of (matrimonial) assets, you can count on our expert advice and professional assistance. Where necessary (in consultation with you), we also call on our network of external contacts such as tax experts, psychologists, real estate experts, notaries, etc.
Our aim is to obtain the best possible settlement for you by providing expert advice, strategic litigation or guided negotiation and mediation.
If you are not satisfied with how your current divorce proceedings and negotiations are going, we are always available to take over and get things back on track in the right direction. Your wishes and goals, framed provided our expert experience, are central to this.
Course of a divorce
In an initial phase, we will discuss with you your wishes, expectations and the possibilities of reaching a divorce or relationship termination. If it proves possible to consult with (the lawyer of) your (former) partner, an attempt can be made to negotiate an amicable divorce settlement. If a divorce agreement can then be drawn up, the divorce can then be quickly and easily pronounced by the court in a judgment Divorce by Mutual Consent (EOT). The court then only needs to step in to pronounce the divorce and officialise the divorce agreement.
If amicable negotiations are not an option, substantive litigation will be necessary. This will involve arguing in court for a settlement of, among other things, the separate accommodation and maintenance (personal and for the children). We take the necessary steps to draw up a writ of summons, conclusions and arguments in order to achieve the best and fairest possible settlement for you.
